Need help with math

I need help with a few math problems.

That’s a square so all sizes are 4

Then you calculate area, which I think is all the sizes added up

Well the area is:

A= L x W

that is what is confusing me

Well for the third one, the area is (x+3) * (x-2) which is

And for the second one it’s (a+5) * (b+3)

Perimeter= 4x
Area= x squared

Perimeter= 2a +16 + + 2b
Area= ab + 3a +5b + 15 (I think )

Perimeter= 4x + 2
Area= x squared + x - 6

This is why I stay away from math, barley passing
