Need help with scene's overlapping

Hey, i have a problem! when i’m done with a scene and i start an other one with an other background, the end of te scene before that is still playing so for example:

&follow ELLA to screen right in zone 4 in 8 AND HAILEY walks to screen center in zone 4 in 8
@transition fade out black in 4

INT. LONG HALLWAY CLOSED - DAY
@transition fade in black in 4

the following command is still there when i go to the the next background,!
i know that the follow command is longer then the fade out command but still the scene should end when i go to another scene

Maybe try &zoom reset

Do you mean your characters are still there? If so then you have to make them exit or remove them

no the new background pans to zone 4 too becouse the &follow wasn’t done when the firs scene ended!

so then before the transition for the new background you need to put &cut to zone 1 or whatever zone you want it in.
