Need Help With: Spots & Layers

Hello Fellow Authors…

I am currently writing a story called The Book Of Love and I need help with spots and layers (as it says in the title).
I would like a girl typing behind an overlay like in episode stories…
I already have the overlay & background.

INT. APARTMENT - DAY with DESK OFFICE WOOD

I basically need to know what spot would get MC behind the computer and which layer to use. I also don’t really understand the syntax.

Characters are automatically placed behind overlays by default, so you don’t need to use layers.
