Need some help with directing

Hello. Can you please help me with my script?
The problem is with character spot.
I want that my character walks to spot and right after this action begin to start another action, but instead of this my character stop, make a pause and starts idle, and only THEN start doing my action. I know such thing as & and THEN, but when I put them in my script Episode write that it is error. Help please

You have a typo in your script: THEN MARY starst tinker_stand_neutral_loop

Also, when I want the character to walk to a spot and do an animation after, it usually works better with @ than with &
