Hey! Maddy here with you again I’m having trouble finding someone to make my story cover for free. I’ve been looking for months, but I’ve been aware from the beginning that it’s always been a difficult thing to find, but especially nowadays. I’ve been making my own cover art for two months now, but I ended up deciding that it wouldn’t look good as the main cover. So, my idea was to create and place this image below as the main one, and the other one mentioned previously, as the “Upper Half”
Is there any problem?
By the way, the image originally isn’t like that, I just crossed it out to prevent people from stealing it. “Oh but Maddy, your name is written there.” Yes I know. But someone might change their name to Madelyn on purpose just to steal it from me. Joking (maybe not). The large cover will be one that I made myself and OMG I’m so proud of myself, it’s really realistic, that whoever sees it will think it’s a real photo. Then you’ll see I can’t wait to publish the first 3 episodes! I’m so excited.

It looks nice like font but if I’m going to be honest it’s a little bland. Perhaps add more details? Like add your characters like ur mc or if they have a li add them too, or something so that it stands out more
Your cover is beautiful! It looks so professionally made It looks like it would be the cover of a real life book that I’d DEFINITELY read!
With that being said, I also agree with @/maandy in terms of what may get people to click on your story. I would maybe add your character(s) to the cover to make it look a bit more interesting.

I only have one question: should I add the drawn characters, I mean, as if it were an art cover? Or do I keep it as in the story, if you’re understanding me?
I’m typically more drawn to drawn characters (no pun intended lol), only because there is more freedom with the posing! However, it really depends on how well they are drawn. That’s not to say I wouldn’t click a story with the ACTUAL episode characters on the cover though. I guess it really just depends on the visual appeal and how well placed they are. (:
Do you already have drawn characters created? Or were you just asking?
Actually I don’t have it. I’m able to do it for myself, but anyway I already have some people who can and want to help me. But I think the question is how the two characters should be positioned and where.
Speaking from a solely practical perspective, it may be hard to see the words, as there’s not a whole of contrast between the words and background. I imagine it’d be especially hard to read when it’s fitted to the size it would be displayed on the app, which is pretty tiny.
Speaking from personal preference, this cover is pretty dope, so even if you don’t use it as-is on the app, you could use it to promote your story when it’s published. : )
You have a point. An important detail is that I blurred the image a little and scratched it slightly to avoid theft, but maybe this issue of the contrast between the letters and the background is right. I’ll “study” this more and then I’ll see what I’ll do. Any advice for replacing it?
I think if you tweaked some colors (the text might look the best if you did change any colors) and added subtle shadows around the words, it’d make a big improvement for visibility. I’d also consider adjusting the size of the words, so they’re easier to read from a distance. (Especially the question you’ve written just above your name.) The background itself is already fine, as it puts more focus on the words.
A few others mentioned this, but the cover is pretty simple. If that’s not the vibe you’re going for, perhaps some characters or an object of importance in your story would give it that finishing touch?
If you’re not sure if the cover looks good when it’s displayed smaller, you can always zoom super far out from the photo or step back.
Of course, these are all suggestions, so do what feels right for your story!
The overall vibe of the cover is fun, so if you can keep the vibe, that’d be awesome! : D
I was thinking of putting my two main characters in black in one of the corners or even in the middle, I don’t know, but to keep the vibe, you know? Thank you for your help by the way
