New contest, or predictions on the next contest?

Hey everyone! So normally the next contest comes about a month after the submission deadline for the previous contest, and that time is here! But with the Episode XOXO gaming contest also wrapping up, do you all think we’ll get a new contest soon? If so, drop some predictions!

I’m thinking if we have a new contest soon, it would be a fantasy for St. Patricks day, a Spring Break theme, or even graduation!

I would get legit PTSD flashbacks from a graduation-themed contest :weary:
(I rolled a Nat 1 in years to graduate.)

A DnD-type fantasy contest would be fun, though.

DnD? As in Dungeons and Dragons? I played that before :eyes: It’s a fun (and funny) experience.

I have an idea for a contest and I call it Coming To Life.
Basically it involves fictional characters in that story popping up to the already fictional character’s reality, be it a video game character or a movie character, or the complete inverse where the player gets sucked into the gaming world instead.
Jumanji vibes, but it doesn’t have to be life threatening for it to be enjoyable :eyes:

A few prompts I can think of:
A mysterious force brought the MC from the game world to the real world, where the player (LI or something :joy: Idk) and his/her favorite video game character come to know each other.

The contest will run from 26th March 2022 to 29th May 2022 unless communicated otherwise . Each Participant must log in to participate. Participants need to make two predictions - winning team and daily match-related prediction. Only the immediate next match on that particular day will be available for prediction.

Did someone mention D&D? I have been summoned!

Some type of fantasy quest inspired type prompt would be interesting, but I doubt they’d ever do it. In part because if it would be like D&D that means that people would probably put combat mini-games into the stories, most likely along the lines of “shoot the attacking monster”. In which case, Episode would have to reject them all because you can’t shoot an arrow at anything but an inanimate object. :face_exhaling:

I like the coming to life idea. Certainly a lot that can be done with that kind of prompt. It also might be interesting to see a contest that revolves around adapting public domain stories. They kinda did this with the Fairy Tale Contest, but I’d be interested to see some people’s take on classics such as Frankenstein, Dracula, The Hunchback of Notre Damme, Sherlock Holmes, ect.

I am thinking it will be romance for valentines or thriller for the sake of us not having one for a while I don’t think. Otherwise I’m hoping fantasy!!

It won’t be for Valentines day… that’s what the UL contest is for.

Oh right! I must of missed the announcement for that one rip. :worried:

Oop- Sorrie :joy:

DW, I’m terrible at writing a story draft longer than two episodes :dead:

My first draft took me 5 years to manifest into actual manuscripts, so don’t beat yourself up :joy:

No because, I was planning for my current story to be an entry for whatever the next contest would be about (only BC the theme is usually romance so it could have likely fit the category) and only recently the UL contest was completed and I already published my story lmao so I have no way of entering it as a contest entry :joy::sweat_smile: but anyways hopefully the next contest is something interesting :sparkling_heart:

We still dont have a new contest :face_holding_back_tears:

I just wanna know because I have finished first 3 chapters of a story. ready to publish. and I wanna know if it fit the contest or not. if not I am just gonna publish it.

Do you need to know if your story is eligible for a contest? After completing the first three chapters, you may be ready to publish, but it’s important to make sure it meets the criteria for the contest. If it does not, you will simply have to go ahead and publish it.

What is the contest

i know what DnD is from stranger things but i’ve never actually played DnD before but one of my stories was almost called DMD high but i changed it to venomous activity
