New Featured story: ...In My Bed!

Man, I kind of feel bad for the moderators having to go through each and every angry post of ours, as valid as they all are. Hopefully they have a well-functioning popcorn machine.

Joseph Evans, earlgreytea and Kay Elle  Sadly, earlgreytea’s stories get (somewhat heavily?) modified when they end up on the featured shelf…

Satire though is usually referred to as a comedy. This story was listed as a romance story so I don’t think that excuse works either.

It was definitely a BS excuse. I’m shocked at people saying that they believe episode made a mistake because they have repeatedly done things like this with other stories. They don’t want to learn from their mistakes because it’s not really a mistake to them since it allows them to make money. Cass was quoted in an article explaining how women like to read dark fantasies and I really think she considers this as well as the other horrible bad boy cliches as one which is kind of upsetting.
I’m waiting for the next hot mess of a story that they’ll going to say is just another mistake but that they’ll learn from

Some women do like to, it’s true… but maybe we should leave those dark fantasies for mature adult women who know what they’re doing and not make them readily available on the front page of an app mostly used by impressionable children :woman_shrugging:

Satirical? Wow. Just wow. They have a lot of nerve to try to backtrack with the “it’s just satire lol!!!” excuse. It’s no different from Tommy Wiseau trying to claim “The Room” was actually a comedy all along. They’d save themselves a whole lot of grief if they only admitted they made a mistake and failed to check over the story properly before release, and then showed that they learned from that mistake. It’s really telling for how low the standard of their featured stories is that a so-called “satire” of the cliche just looks exactly like the cliche itself. :unamused:

(Seriously, you can kill the principal in the story. What on earth was the team thinking?)

If that was satire then they need to watch more late-night shows. Satire has a point to it, mainly to criticise the issue that is addressed in a comedic way. If anything, Mr.Popular and I was more of a satire than this. This is a straight forward quote-on-quote romance (cuz there’s barely, if not any, development between characters so Idk where the romance part comes in) with some soft core erotica elements to it. For Pete’s sake, it’s not even in the Comedy genre! :expressionless:

If that’s what they think a satire is then they are sadly mistaken. Excuses are floating all around aren’t they.

‘SATIRE’ nice fucking try lol. This is a slap to the face of good authors and stories that have been banned for life. I’m going to write a gang story guys. I want views and that seems like the only thing that’ll get me views, fuck being different.

This honestly is like the pynical of hypocrisy after somebody got heated after I critized Noob Loop and shut down and unlisted the topic.
