I don’t see the story in my favorites anymore. Can anyone confirm whether or not they kept the SA/prostitution subplot in the story?
I love the original. It’s sad to see that they changed it a lot.
It’s still there.
I reported this to the story review team a week ago and received confirmation they were looking into it. Guess they decided not to give a shit because they didn’t change a thing.
And for good measure…

I don’t care if it turns out that in Episode 7/8 nothing happened or whatever twist they have planned. Ex thinks something happened, and that’s important. MC thinks something happened, and she tosses Ex out of the house.
I said it before, but there’s a real world issue where people don’t believe SA survivors who were intoxicated but insisted they didn’t want to have sex, and people accuse them of fabricating assault because of morning-after regrets. That’s how the MC here is treating the ex, and her decision that he’s untrustworthy because he woke up in bed next to some randos he didn’t even let into the house is hurtful and problematic. So much about this new plotline is hurtful.
Why did we need to add this to a perfectly fine story?
In not putting responsibility for Gonzales (idk why I keep calling him that) for cheating like in the original, it ironically put unnecessary blame on a possible SA victim, brilliant
I mean, why didn’t episode do their usual scenes of ‘cheating’, and make the ex be seen just making out or kissing ONE girl, or have them have fancy AF dinner, or literally anything else
I don’t even know what to say. I find their version so offensive, and the fact that they acknowledged my concerns before ultimately dismissing them breaks any trust I might have had. There is no point in reporting stories because they clearly don’t take reader concerns seriously. I don’t know how anyone reading these scenes after having these concerns called to their attention can just arrive at the conclusion that it’s fine as is. It would cost them nothing to make it clear this guy wasn’t raped.
To play devil’s advocate, the scene technically didn’t break guidelines, even though it is still … off-colour.
If there was one little scene, one, of the Ex and the two ladies coming back to the apartment, and showing the guy just immediately passing out and the other two just awkwardly sleeping in the same bed. Or have the girls actually come back and actually telling their side of the night. I can’t live with the Teo getting off scot-free, and just be the hoes of the story
It’s not really a matter of whether it breaks guidelines or not. But, it’s more of, why? Why did they have to change the original story plot? What the hell was the purpose of adding this subplot in. They should have just kept the story as it is. The ex cheated and immediately regrets it after.
This revised version is and was not needed. And, the fact that the episode team dismissed Cee’s concerns doesn’t help anything. It’s infuriating.
I’m willing to give them longer than a week with all the community story reviews going on, but this aspect truly needs to go. I don’t know why the writing team would make this change. It feels a little like My Brother’s Best Friend all over again.
Absolutely true. I was just thinking of alternatives if/when Episode still wants to revise the story for some reason.
I agree full-hearted with @Cee otherwise
The thing is they blasted it on Instagram today after having the issues brought to their attention, so they made a decision to promote it to readers before making adjustments. I don’t necessarily expect changes in a week, but they could have delayed the official release to allow for revision.
Oh boy…
Yeah, that’s a terrible choice. I feel like their communication between teams could be better, because if they intend to take this report seriously, it sends a bad message.
I hate that they’ve changed the story. Pippi did an absolutely stunning job with the directing and storyline in the original, and to see that episode basically said “mine” and changed basically what is a major plot point is very disappointing. It’s such an unnecessary change. Part of the reason why I loved the original was because the character f*cked up and actually had to work towards forgiveness. He was guilty and he had character growth and development from that.
I just think that episode should’ve stuck to Pippi’s original plot. Don’t try to fix something that ain’t broke.
Ah, you beat me at making the topic lol guess I’m a second round tester haha
I wonder why Episode does anything they do.
They’re super contradictory/hypocritical with say, their stories vs their guidelines… ![]()
That would’ve been an awesome idea. It’s also been seen in a lot of movies and shows, so it shouldn’t be that hard to think of/come up with. I mean you did, so… ![]()

tisk Episode, tisk.
Has anyone read the update?
No, but I haven’t really checked out the featured version at all. Did they make any changes to the one storyline we’re all
about?
… no, but expectedly it’s plot is condensed for around like 8 chapters
Yeah… a really real, really bad and really problematic real world problem.
