I really wish they would get rid of the super passes… like I’m fine with the pass free timer (although I wish the 30 minute one was 3 hours… 30 minutes is like enough for only one episode of a community story sometimes…maybe you can get two episodes out of it)… cause as someone who sometimes goes back and forth between Sapphire VIP and Amethyst VIP it really comes in handy when I’m on my Sapphire tip. But the super passes are good for no one either VIP user gets all episode official stories unlimited for free so it’s an extreme waste and just a way for episode to give out “prizes” that have zero impact to them.
The super passes and silver tokens need to go. Like the silver token prizes should just be one gold token prize so that would be like a “try again!” prize lol, and they should get rid of the super passes and just make that a three hour pass free timer. Like I think those would be small changes that would have minimal impact on episode’s bottom line.

I completely agree with you. In essentials I have used the replay for 15 gems and whit did I get - more tokens, and then a gold token that gave me more tokens! I was ready to throw my phone somewhere.
But super passes really should be longer. At least an hour, so you can read 3 episodes.
I don’t have VIP but it shows me only one option - I don’t know which one (Amethyst or Sapphire), but I think if people are paying, they should have some kind of advantage in gumball, like more spins or bigger chances to get something.

Yeah so episode allows you to see Sapphire only, but the option for Amethyst (the one that includes pass free reading on community stories as well) is there, you just have to press on a community story to see the option for Amethyst.

Haha yeah I’ve been buying the pass free no ads options for years, pretty much since it’s been available. And back then all it gave you was unlimited reads and no ads, so the extra’s are a bonus now.
For me it was mostly about the ads. I just could not stand watching them in between episodes. Like give me ads for rewards all day long and I’ll watch those for my shards… but to have to watch them just to be able to read 
I can’t do it. Then I also got addicted to never using my passes and watching the number grow bigger and bigger 
One of my favorite additions to VIP (from the old unlimited reads no ads) is the addition of unlimited replays. I remember the first time I realized you could only replay a story five times I practically cried cause I loved the story so much and I had accidentally used up my replays messing up on CC. So now I have like 100 replays in some stories (I’m not even joking lmao I’d just go in and added a ton all at once).
Facts. It’s actually pretty dirty of them that they hide it like that.

tell me why after i read this i went to spin and got 3 30 minute super-passes
but i 100% agree the silver token for a repeated prize is SO unfair
and the 30 minute super-pass is useless cause it’s not like it’s allowing me to skip ads, i already have so many normal passes from winning it in the gumball i feel like it was a lazy prize

I have like 5 -10 stories I have reached all 5 times. And now I cry because I can’t read them anymore. Except maybe using mum’s phone 
For me, it’s opposite. I can’t watch them for shards, but can for episodes I hate shards too much to spend my time on them

Literally wildly unfair it’s like here’s a tiny piece of a turn for the turn you just used… like da fuck??? Give gold tokens for repeat prizes!!??? It’s the only thing that properly replaces the turn you just took. That refund is an extremely unfair dirty trick. I mean it’s robbery essentially. They stole our turn and that’s not fair.
Really? I wonder if that’s a glitch… cause when I got it once after my VIP month ended and then I cancelled it do it wouldn’t renew because I wanted to change the type of VIP but didn’t like a day later (do I was without VIP that day). When I used to pass free timer (I think I had an hour) I was able to read episodes without ads. Unless me not having to watch ads with the pass free timer was the glitch lol

Hahahahaha too funny! See I’m like a person who eats up any and all free rewards I can get so I’m extremely religious with collecting shards and I actually really like getting the shard booster. I have a wild amount of shards because of the shard booster ↓
I personally don’t get people sleeping on the shards man. I mean this is my current count and I’ve already turned them in once when I was at 25,000 shards (1000 gems).

It took a lot of dedication and hoarding/farming. This is mostly all collected from the beginning of my episode life lmao. In the beginning I did spend a bit more than I do now. Although I’ve done some big gem dumps on a few stories and one story where I bought every single gem choice (so I’ve actually spent like probably around 3000-4000 gems in the past year or so… and it feels like it wasn’t that long ago I was only at 5000 gems… I went through a phase where I read only episode stories and read them very heavily and never made one single gems choice and just farmed farmed farmed. I never read an episode story without VIP so I always earn 2 gems per episode. I always buy my treasure chest when it’s completely full because it’s extremely cheap compared to the prices in the actual store. The treasure chest is a really good cheap deal and I never sleep on it. I’ve done quite a bit or surveys ands tasks to earn gems (I don’t do as many anymore but I’ve gotten a few really big ones that paid off). Any issue I’ve ever had with earning rewards from tapjoy I’ve reached out to them and gotten my rewards. I message episode support for any issue I’ve ever had with rewards/chapter gem issues (I’ve run into a lot of stories that have a coding error where it doesn’t end the last episode and didn’t give me my two gems for that chapter). I always get my gems that I’m owed from episode. Those are some of the things I’ve done to get to wear I’m at. Like I had 360 gems and 40 passes in the Ivy app when that was a thing and when they decided to disband the app I contacted episode support and they transferred all of those to my episode app. I’ve talked to others that just assumed they were SOL and did nothing. Oh hell no hunnie, episode is gonna give me mine lmao.

Honestly, wow. I admire your dedication to this cause. I only spend 5-8 gems to support my fav community authors and almost never buy the official story gem choice. I guess I will have to try some of your methods.
