No bracket after _ when I have a bracket

#1

I keep getting the error : There is a { on line 105 that doesnt have a matching }
EVIE (talk_happy_smile)
Do you want to play???
Line 105 - choice “Play with Evie” {
ALLY (talk_gossip)
Ok
@EVIE is cheer_loop
@EVIE is tinker_kneel_loop
@ALLY is tinker_kneel_loop
transition fade out black 3
INT. BLACK - DAY
NARRATOR
A little while later…
INT. EVIE BED - DAY
@EVIE is tinker_kneel_loop
@ALLY is tinker_kneel_loop
@ALLY is stand_up
@EVIE is stand_up
ALLY (talk_apathetic)
I’m going to go talk to your mom for a while
} “Go talk to Jessica” {
ALLY (talk_awkward)
Maybe later sweetie…
}

What am I doing wrong?

#2

Is choice and “Play with Evie” { on the same line? If so, “Play with Evie” { should be on the line below choice.

#3

I moved it to the line below but it still says the same thing

#4

It looks like you forgot to put an @ in front of the transition command

#5

Instead of saying:

choice
“Play with Evie”

Say:

choice
“Play with Evie”{

}“Go talk with Jessica”{

}

If you did that, I would just check to make sure there are no random extra spaces in your template. It looks good, so maybe there is just a random spelling error or spacing error.

Let me know if you still need help!

Hey, just so you know, the choice option can be on the same line as the word choice or on the next line. Either one works fine :blush:
