Hi guys! I’m in the process of writing a story and something just occurred to me that I would like to know your feedback on. I’ve already added two limited customisations for the main character and the love interest, but today I was thinking about it and realised how much I would like for my characters to look exactly like I portrayed them to the reader and how me removing the customisations would give me access to also start making body overlays to maybe make the reading experience even more advanced and interesting. However, the question still remains as to would that be what the reader prefers? I know a lot of people like to customise their characters and make them unique to them, but I wouldn’t even be able to provide that with including limited CC, since the characters still have some important features identical to the original, making them more unique to me and the story itself than to the reader. So I feel like, wouldn’t it be better for me to just not include it to the story since it’s limited anyway and add body and face overlays instead?
What do you think and prefer?
Thank you if you made it this far!

If you feel it will make the story better then do it. It’s not like you can customize characters in a movie and people still watch them. Do whatever you feel is best.

I think you shouldn’t include CC if you don’t want to. As a reader, I’d prefer this - body overlays done well can look super good.
