No matter what I do she moves in frount of the others

So I have tried everything and can not get Summer to stay in layer -2

@SUMMER spot 1.280 448 21 AND SUMMER moves to layer -2

&SPENCER spot 1.280 54 -105 AND SPENCER moves to layer 1 AND SPENCER faces right AND SPENCER is talk_arms_crossed_loop AND QUITEN spot 1.280 256 -105 AND QUITEN moves to layer 2 AND QUITEN faces left AND QUITEN is nod_loop

@SUMMER changes into SUMMER_WORK

@transition fade in black 2.1

@SUMMER enters from right to screen center in 2 AND SUMMER moves to layer -2

&SPENCER moves to layer 1 AND QUITEN moves to layer 2

That is what I have right now, i’ve also tried this

@SUMMER spot 1.280 448 21 AND SUMMER moves to layer -2

@SUMMER changes into SUMMER_WORK

@transition fade in black 2.1

@SUMMER enters from right to screen center in 2 AND SUMMER moves to layer -2

And this

&SPENCER spot 1.280 54 -105 AND SPENCER moves to layer 1 AND SPENCER faces right AND SPENCER is talk_arms_crossed_loop AND QUITEN spot 1.280 256 -105 AND QUITEN moves to layer 2 AND QUITEN faces left AND QUITEN is nod_loop

@SUMMER changes into SUMMER_WORK

@transition fade in black 2.1

@SUMMER enters from right to screen center in 2 AND SUMMER moves to layer -2

Nothing is working can someone help me?

Have you tried using spot directing?

Example:

@SUMMER spot 1.280 X 0 in zone # at layer -2 AND SUMMER faces left

@SUMMER walks to spot 1.280 160 0 in 2 AND SUMMER does it while walk_neutral

What this means=
Place Summer offscreen and copy whatever the middle value (X) is into your script while leaving 1.280 and 0 untouched.
#is a number, so it’s the zone number she’s in
Summer walks to the new position (those are the exact spot coordinates for screen center), she does this in 2 seconds and does it while doing a neutral walking animation

@SUMMER spot 1.280 448 21 AND SUMMER moves to layer -2
Yes in the first one I have her spoted before she walks into the scene and it didnt work :frowning:

It’s the only thing I have been having a hard time with, when it come to drecting lately.

If you already spotted her offscreen you don’t need:

@SUMMER enters from right to screen center in 2 AND SUMMER moves to layer -2

Instead use:

@SUMMER walks to spot 1.280 160 0 in 2 AND SUMMER does it while walk_neutral

screen center = spot 1.280 160 0
They’re the same thing, just one is not using numerical values ^^

Oh lol okay, I see what your saying. Thank you

No problem!

Always remember that when you place a character offscreen and have them enter the scene using spot directing without changing size or going up and down you use this:

@CHAR spot % X Y

@CHAR walks to spot % X Y

*% and Y do NOT change, only the X does
