Pure Obsessional OCD is a type of OCD that is more focused on mental and intrusive thoughts instead of physical compulsions. People (like myself) who have this type of OCD have repeating images and scenarios of different things, and some of these things can range from religion and relationships, sexuality, etc. to violence. There’s information regarding this type of OCD online, and as someone who has it, it can be very distressing.
OCD in general is very misused and misunderstood, and it sucks that people like to use it as a joke or a light subject. Hoping that people are educated on OCD better.
