I usually take the colour that is darker than the colour that I am about to shade on… why??
I was just curious, because a lot of artists sometimes get in the habit of only using black for the shading, which isn’t exactly too good if the colour you’re shading on is anything than black. ^^
Nah black somewhat looks very harsh on the character so I don’t use black that often but when I have to shade on something dark like that navy blue I used black otherwise if I used another colour it probably wouldn’t even be visible…
