Sort of struggling with the idea of modern day business-arranged marriages, and I’m hoping for some opinions.

Are they even a thing now?? I feel like arranged marriages aren’t common in the present anymore, and were more of a thing in the past, according to all the research I’ve done. :sneezing_face:

I’ve seen stories about business arranged marriages which either end up with the MCs falling in love with each other or loathing each other in stories, but imo I feel like they aren’t portrayed that accurately when set in today’s time.

Main question is: Would it make sense to have a business arranged marriage in today’s time? :joy:

Baby gurrrlll, it still happens today especially in today’s time Aura. For example, you are about to take over a company, but some families need you to get married for that to happen. So they might arrange one for you, anything can happen in today’s society. :kissing_heart::kissing_heart::exploding_head::exploding_head:. So yes it would make sense. :sweat_smile:

Actually, believe it or not, they still exist and happen more often than you’d think in less developed parts of the world, like India and other 3rd world countries :poop:
I think you’d be surprised by the kind of people that still continue to do even “business” arranged marriages as well. The people in this world can be pretty crazy, unfortunately, haha.

Make sure to ask some realism, I would love that in a story. Remember sometimes the men can be cold and distant, because that is not what he wants. You won’t believe it, but I read a story about this last night.

Write a story with actual characters in it first and foremost, then use the vampirism as a minor part of their character instead of the only defining trait of their entire personality. That should be a good start.

Sure.

  • You got to have outstanding directing
  • Overlays are a must
  • Something that has never been in a fantasy story, like, for example, vampires and wolves don’t hate each other, it was all just a misunderstanding
  • Be sure to give it a spooky vibe, not a dull boring cliche Twilight Zone Vibe
