But at the end of the day, that’s another beautiful thing. There’s nothing wrong with just finding a story entertaining. Especially since if we’re surrounding ourselves with things that we truly enjoy and truly find entertaining, then we’re being more impacted by the fun or positive things in our life than just the things that are hard. So we’re staving off more of the heavy, difficult moments and there’s value in that. There’s no like right or wrong way to enjoy this story and it’s not like…a competition haha. If there was ever a story to enjoy just for the sake of enjoying it, OOTG is it

Aw, this is cute. Very true. So many different types of stories - emotionally intense, sad, happy, purely comedic - can fill a need, and art (in all of its forms) is critical to survival.

I decided to re-read ep 34 so I could remember everything, still managed to miss screenshotting the moment when Celeste is like ‘isn’t it great that society doesn’t expect that of you’ (not verbatim) in response to Jesse saying it was hard to swallow lol.
