Opacity for overlay not working

My overlay does not seem to appear. It does but its like invisible. Like I tried out the “change overlay” and I could see the lines but no overlay.

EXT. CAPE THORN FOREST CLEARING - NIGHT

    VIVIAN (disappointed)
(Sh*t! Dead end. And it's way too open.)

    VIVIAN (search)
(I think I lost him for now.)

    NARRATOR (VIVIAN)
I knew I had to do something. Something that is so bad that I regret even thinking about it.

    VIVIAN (talk_awkward)
This is gonna take a lot of power.

    NARRATOR (VIVIAN)
I touched my two fingers against my lips.

    NARRATOR (VIVIAN)
I put my hands together and made my fingers into like finger pistols.

    NARRATOR (VIVIAN)
Both my hands made a somewhat triangle shape until a purple portal began to appear.
