Opacity looping with overlay help

hi, so i’m coding and I want to make a certain overlay’s opacity loop, but I think i’m doing something wrong. can anyone help me, or tell me what I did wrong? i’m so frustrated :sob:

here is my script so you can see what I mean:

and then here is the warning it’s giving me:

warning

help would be appreciated thanks

I would suggest re-uploading your overlay with a name that doesn’t include AND…it’s probably confusing the portal since AND is a command as well.

Let me know if it works!

So I did re-upload my overlay, and the warning went away, but when I previewed my story, I couldn’t see the overlay at all and I already have the opacity set at 1.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to do with the overlay but maybe add the opacity on a seperate line - that’s what I would try next

&ovl NAME opacity .5 in .7 then ovl NAME opacity 1 in .5 loop infinite times

to loop opacity infinitely. Also, the 1.00 for opacity can just be a 1 - don’t know if that could be affecting the coding necessarily but it’s something to maybe swap and see? lol

Can you copy/paste the code that you have now for it?

here is my current code:

&overlay BOKEH shifts to 1 1 in zone 1 in 1 THEN overlay BOKEH scales to 1.000 1.000 THEN overlay BOKEH to layer 5 THEN overlay BOKEH opacity 1 in 1 loop INFINITE times

&overlay BOKEH shifts to 1 1 in zone 1 AND overlay BOKEH scales to 1.000 1.000 AND overlay BOKEH to layer 5 AND overlay BOKEH opacity 0.5
&overlay BOKEH opacity 1 in 1 THEN overlay BOKEH opacity 0.5 in 1 loop INFINITE times

If you just want your overlay to change opacity but you want it to stay in one place try this maybe
