some stories give us the choice, others don’t.
what do u prefer, and why?

it depends.
are you drawing them yourself. if not then full cc and no art scenes
is it only art scenes. or are you also using body overlays and such. then limitied (or no cc at all)
I don’t care for art scenes that much tbh. I just wanna get on with the story
it’s not my story, it was something that i was looking while reading other stories, and wanted to see what people like and prefer when reading a story. i was curious haha
I don’t care about art scenes, so I voted for the latter option (although I’m not that picky about how robust the CC templates are).
I picked art scenes because I like the occasional one and I don’t particularly care if I get to customize a character or not, and if so, to what extent. That being said, it’s not a huge deal to me and I’ve enjoyed stories with both of these
I don’t care about what the mc looks like so I chose art scenes.
I don’t care about CC tbh, I’d like it the way how the author portrays the character’s looks, so yeah I’d rather pick art scenes in this case
truthfully i like limited cc even without art scenes, i like the characters the way the author made them
Either is fine with me.
I generally only change the shape of a few facial features (lip shape, nose shape, eyebrow shape, face shape, and eye shape) when CC-ing, that usually fits with any art scenes, especially paid ones that are legally forbidden to look like Episode sprites. But I also don’t need art scenes, and only really enjoy them if they’re really good or show something that the Episode sprites can’t.
I think authors can have the best of both worlds with a big disclaimer that says “THERE WILL BE ART SCENES but you can still CC if you want”. If the CC doesn’t match the art scenes and the reader doesn’t care, they don’t care.
I read Adrenaline having CC’ed so the MC didn’t match the art scenes, and that story is still one of my favourites.
Yeah I prefer full CC. I prefer making my character. Also (not that I could do any better whatsoever) most of the time the art is…not great. But mainly it just takes time away from continuing the story. However I loved it in I Married A Biollionaire, the art was beautifully done and actually helped enforce the feelings of that particular scene.
