Opinions Needed: Interchanging Locks & Dreadlocks

Do you think I could switch between Shoulder Length Locks Hair and Dreads Long Loose Bun for my MC? According to my research, dreads can be made by backcombing, rolling or braiding while locks are done by coiling, braiding, twisting, or palm rolling, and locks are not combed. I know they’re different styles, but I’m curious if I could interchange them for the story.
Does anyone have an opinion?

Ummm I didn’t really understand the research, but I like the Dreads Long Loose Bun better

I’m not asking for preference between the two, but rather if it’s okay for me to interchange them. Sorry for any confusion. :sweat_smile:
