The story is NOT mostly about racism or homophobia. The main idea in the story is the DL part of it and the fact that she is not confident and uncomfortable in her skin. With the homophobia, I am using it to tell my own story, and spread the word that it is something that happens. With the racism, I am not going to have that in the story anymore. I wanted to hopefully be a bit informative if I added it in. It is not my story to tell, though, so I will not be telling it.
