Outfit choice help

#1

I am having a really hard time with my choices. My main character Arielle is dressing up for a Halloween Party, and whenever I do the choices, it doesn’t work. It goes from a red text to just a normal text, so then it doesn’t show up as a choice in the preview. Can someone please give me some advice?

Let’s see your script

Come in!

@LAUREL enters from right to screen right

    LAUREL (talk_neutral)
Me and Ryan are leaving for dinner. Lucy is with her aunt and you know where Christopher will be. You are to stay here and behave.

    ARIELLE (eyeroll)
Yes, I know. You have told me over and over again all week, mom. Go ahead and have fun.

    LAUREL (talk_arms_crossed)
I intend to. Just work on your homework, and call me if you need anything.

@LAUREL exits right

    NARRATOR (ARIELLE)
I need to make a choice... What should I wear?

#choice
“Blue Angel Dress” {

"Devil dress" {

it should be
choice “Blue Angel Dress” {

} "Devil Dress {

}

Okay. It seems to have worked, except now I am getting an error that says:

Unexpected string: Devil dress

#6

what I said wasn’t wrong.

#11

She wasn’t wrong.

#12

I was just about to @ you & see if I was wrong. :joy::joy: you know my confidence was shot down when she said I was wrong :sob:

#13

Oh sorry cause I do that and it never works

#14

You provided a template which is good. But the error that the original poster had a problem with is that she didn’t have an ending bracket for the second option which @brvnda gave the correct way to format choices.

#15

It worked out finally. As much as I am enjoying writing the story though, I didn’t realize it would be such a pain the butt to figure it out.

Closing due to one month of inactivity :slight_smile:
