I wanted to show the masks besides the different items of clothing that I’ve seen used as hijabs. So, I cannot answer that question with confidence.

If anyone wants to correct me, feel free, and I’ll amend my post.

Yeah. I realised that after making this post.

Personally, I feel like episode designed them to go under the hijab, especially because the mask is cut off wear it would go around the characters ears. However, if cut in a different place, it could easily go above too.
