So, when I go in my overlay page, it will say an overlay is approved, but when I go into the chapter that it appears in, I get the error message that it’s still pending. This is actually the only thing stopping me from publishing the beginning of my story, so I wish I knew what’s going on.

This happened to me. Save the chapter then reload the page.
Rewrite the background name.
Yeah, I’ve tried this. I’ve also tried different browsers and more than one computer.

Write the name of the overlay * i mean, again.

Whenever this happens to me I find the first line where I mention the background/overlay, add a space before the following line, backspace it, then save. Not sure why that works but it does.
