Overlay Directing Help

#1

So I"m directing a scene with two overlays and both of them are not staying in the spot that I have them in when I try to preview it. Here’s my script:

INT. FANCY BATHROOM - DAY
@cut to zone 2
@LAUREN changes into TowelFemale
@LAUREN2 changes into TowelFemale

@overlay BATHROOM create
@overlay BATHROOM shifts to -321 0
@overlay BATHROOM to layer 3
@overlay BATHROOM scales to 1.000 1.000
@overlay BATHROOM opacity 1 in 0

@overlay GLASSPANE create
@overlay GLASSPANE shifts to 11 306
@overlay GLASSPANE to layer 2
@overlay GLASSPANE scales to 0.477 0.477
@overlay GLASSPANE opacity 1 in 0

&LAUREN spot 0.818 154 213 in zone 2
&LAUREN2 spot 0.818 -38 213 in zone 2

&LAUREN moves to layer 4 AND LAUREN2 moves to layer 1

If someone could tell me why it won’t stay please let me know thank you!

You have to add the overlays first like this:
INT. FANCY BATHROOM - DAY with BATHROOM with GLASSPANE

It’s still not same place though :confused:

#4

You need to add the zone number to the shift command.

@overlay OVERLAY shifts to x y in zone #
