Hey, I am new at making stories and at the moment I am working on my first one. I wanted to use an overlay, but it’s not appearing where I directed it to? The overlay is a banner and I wanted to put it on the background INT. DELTA HOUSE FOYER TRASHED right above the stairs. If anyone can help me or give me the coding to this that would help me so much. Here’s an example code for overlays:
@overlay BANNER create
@overlay BANNER shifts to 166 123 in zone #
@overlay BANNER scales to 0.772 0.772 in zone #
@overlay BANNER opacity 1
And of course, you’d use what you actually named the overlay in place of the word BANNER.

Also I am having a bit of another problem, whenever I try to preview it simply never loads. I know this isn’t the biggest of problems and I could just resort to using my phone, but I am wondering if there is anyway just to simply fix it?
Well, to see if there’s a way to fix it, I’d need to see a screenshot of your code for the overlay, but most of the time as long as it shows in the app, you’re fine. The writer’s portal on the computer can be a bit finnicky, so it depends.
This is what the coding looks like, also another problem is that the background is not showing up either which I’m not sure how to fix also.
Well, for the background, the name is INT. DELTA HOUSE FOYER TRASHED - NIGHT. You forgot the “- NIGHT” part. Once you put that in, see if the overlay shows up.

You have to write the overlay name into capital words…
