Overlay help 101

I’m trying to make my overlay ( a magic smoke) slowly move upwards and then disappear. I did this once and i tried to copy and past it so i could use it again but it keeps messing up. Instead of it going up, it just appears and then moves really quickly off the screen to where you can’t see it. Can someone help? Here’s what i have

&overlay SMARTII MAGIC shifts to 200 380 in 1.0 AND overlay SMARTII MAGIC2 shifts to 181 381 in 1.0
&overlay SMARTII MAGIC scales to 0.115 0.115 in 1.0 AND overlay SMARTII MAGIC2 scales to 0.115 0.115 in 1.0

If anyone has any other codes for an overlay moving by itself going upward and then disappearing, that we be wonderful

Im not sure what you mean sorry. have you tried adding pause for a beat and changing the time on it?

Yes, i have. I also changed the placements a few times

I’m not sure then sorry
@Apes can you help?

is this code is when it moves to the right spot where you want to disappear?

Can you post what you have before and after this code?

Yes, indeed its the code. Heres what i used before

@overlay PURPLE FIRE opacity 0.4 in 0.1 AND overlay PURPLE FIRE2 opacity 0.4 in 0.1

@pause for 0.5

&overlay PURPLE FIRE shifts to 235 390 in 1.0 AND overlay PURPLE FIRE2 shifts to 218 389 in 1.0
&overlay PURPLE FIRE scales to 0.130 0.130 in 1.0 AND overlay PURPLE FIRE2 scales to 0.127 0.127 in 1.0

@pause for 0.9

Here’s what i have now

@overlay SMARTII MAGIC opacity 0.6 in 0.1 AND overlay SMARTII MAGIC2 opacity 0.6 in 0.1

@pause for 0.9

@pause for 0.7
