Overlay Movement

Hello everyone, I’m in serious need of some advice. How do you make an overlay slide into a scene because I’m having some trouble. When I tried the overlay went back to the default size and did not appear in the scene at all. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Can you send your script?

Sure, also sorry for the late reply

In line 32 you didn’t specify a time the overlay shifts, it should be @overlay DUST CLOUD WHITE shifts to -693 -81 in zone 1 in T

It still doesn’t work :frowning:

you havent specified the opacity of the overlay DUST CLOUD WHITE
it should be

INT. JAIL CELL - DAY with DUST CLOUD WHITE
@overlay DUST CLOUD WHITE opacity 1
@overlay DUST CLOUD WHITE shifts to -693 -81 in zone 1

its working, you just cant see it because the default opacity is 0

also, all the numbers are minus numbers, so its likely the overlay is off screen everytime youve shifted it.

They shouldn’t need to adjust the opacity of it. They created the overlay next to the background name, so the default opacity will be 1. The only time they’re opacity 0 is when you create overlays via the create command

My best suggestion for you would be to reset the zoom, then respot the cloud. Find where it’s at using the directing helper, then go from there.

Like winter said try resetting the zoom or respotting the cloud maybe you used the wrong coordinates? I cant really see anything wrong with your script so I’m unsure what the problem might be.
