Overlays won't fade

#1

I’ve made an overlay look like it’s fading by using opacity, and it’s working fine in the web previewer but it won’t work on the app. I don’t think my script is wrong but this is it:

@overlay BEATRIX opacity 0 in 4

Has anyone else experienced this, is it a bug or something or is it just my app?

#2

I have had experiences like this also. You can try using & instead of @. It seemed to work after that.

#3

I just tested it, it’s still not working :sweat_smile:

#4

You can’t see opacity fading in web previewer, try on your phone.

#5

It’s actually working on the web previewer - it’s my phone that it’s not working with

#6

Weird… try contacting support, they can help you the best.

#7

How is it not working? It’s not fading at all?

#8

Yeah, the overlay is just disappearing rather than fading

#9

That’s odd, usually the web previewer is the one that doesn’t show overlay opacity. Can I just see your script, let me just check everything looks good. It’s probably a bug though.

&overlay BEATRIX opacity 1 in 0
@BEATRIX changes hairColor into Punky Purple
&overlay BEATRIX opacity 0 in 6

the last line is the one that isn’t working

#11

Change the first & to a @:

@overlay BEATRIX opacity 1 in 0
@BEATRIX changes hairColor into Punky Purple
&overlay BEATRIX opacity 0 in 6

#12

That fixed it, thank you so much!
