Own props — is it possible?

#1

Hi, guys!

I hope you are all doing great.

I wonder if there is a way to add own props to the character? Like a tennis racket, or a sword, or anything else really.

If there is no way to add your own props, would you maybe share any suggestions on how to code such things? I assume I would have to use overlays, right?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Yes, the only way to do it is to upload these as overlays.
I can’t think of any example  because it really depends on what you’re trying to use or make.

So, basically, I upload these to overlays. Say, I make a magic wand and name the overlay Magic Wand.

Then I use the @add Magic Wand to CHARACTER?

Is this how you do this?

Nooo… you can’t add overlays to your character like you’re adding props.

You have to play with directing and animations of overlays to do that

#5

Because it’s not a prop, you would have to do your background and add WITH
ie; INT.BEDROOM WITH MAGIC WAND

Here is a guide on overlays

Eh… I suspected that but still… Was hoping for the best  That would be way much more coding… :weary::weary::weary:

Thank you very much, that list is even more extensive than the advanced directing tips document!
