So you guys were told this via a PM? Why didn’t they let everyone know in September that the very last INK update was upon us? I’ve been getting my hopes up for all this new hidden stuff for nothing ahhh

That’s what we want. To make an official post/thread about this, when they discontinued Classic they clearly said they doing it. (then later they updated more stuff for it)
I think all INK fans deserve this.

Sadly, yes, it is true. And because we asked. Otherwise, we would not know about it either. It was frustrating… as we had been hoping for so long and for so much more… but this is how Episode works.
It is not going to stop us from loving INK, I am sure, but I feel your disappointment.

That’s a bummer 
Well, you never know. Just as Classic was updated long after it had been announced as discontinued, perhaps they will decide to do the same with Ink. Maybe they just need people to “forget” about this style because that’s when things calm down. That’s when they’re no longer attacked with questions regarding the obsolete style. But, thing is, Ink is still quite well-known and preferred among many, even over a year later.

if I remember correctly, Liz somewhere said they are working on it and that the list is long

It’s a pity there arn’t nicer female midlength-hair options in INK. I don’t like any, so the character always gets a long style. I like long styles, but I like mid-lenght too!
Seems that it’s not going to happen…

I don’t think many people realize the time and effort that the Episode team puts into this. I also don’t imagine that they get paid a whole lot for doing it. I mean, where would they get the funds to pay them? Personally, I am grateful that they release new clothing, character customization, etc. every week. It may be just because I started on Episode after limelight was released, but I prefer limelight. I also believe that Ink should have one final release with all the hidden items.
I support this too. I love both, LL and Ink. Ink made me fall for Episode years ago so it shouldn’t just be forgotten.

Why discontinue an incredibly popular style? I don’t get it? Update LL fine, but give INK fans some love too (improve upon your 2D style as well). There are plenty of hardcore fans out there that prefer INK. Updates don’t have to be that often, but there should just be something, yearly, to help those who truly adore the style, as to not limit story writing or lose readers. I think the choice to discontinue a very popular (and awesome style) is not a very wise decision.

They have their reasons though. Although, I don’t really agree, still. Let’s just hope they release the rest of the closet anytime soon.
I know what you mean, I just find it totally ineffective on their part to suddenly abandon/discontinue such a fan favourite. I understand that they want to push the new “in” LL style, but there’s honestly nothing wrong with INK. I feel like they could still develop and improve upon that current style, too. At least I can say, I totally agree and am looking forward to the new closet in serious anticipation! I just honestly hope they come back to INK updates (even just a few here and there), after updating Limelight. Which also begs the question…what about contests? Will LL be favoured now? It seems so unfair to the wonderful INK authors out there. They should push both equally, at least. INK is a truly well thought out business strategy and and incredible style.

I love INK, it’s my favorite style. I’m currently converting my story from INK to LL, and I just feel that LL’s animation lacks the depth of emotion that INK’s has. I do appreciate that LL has more animations, more food options, exciting clothes (although INK currently has more clothing options), and I do respect that Episode wants to take the app in this direction… But I just love INK. I love how expressive the characters are!
