Please Help Me Character Fade

Hey guys. I’m doing my intro for my story (i like coding stories but i dont always post them). But whenever I review it, it shows the background and the little words that say CHARACTER is idle and the rest of the animations but it doesnt show the actual thing unless I go to the scene and press update script then i guess it rewrites itself?

But what im doing is showing part of the story then intro then the rest. So it is not flowing nicely.

Heres my script:::

INT. BLACK - NIGHT with BLACK FADE at layer 2
@TESSA spot 1.280 143 -17 in zone 1 at layer 0 AND TESSA faces right AND LORENA spot 1.280 270 0 in zone 1 at layer 1

if anyone can fix it and let me know itd b greatly appreciated xx
Also the Tessa and Prince one is not properly spot directed which is why I need this to work so I can put them properly.

Fist thing I saw is make sure your overlay is in the same zone as your character, that might be what will make it work, maybe? Other members may help and give a better answer though.

So your trying to start the story, have the intro, and then continue the story like a TV show Episode, correct?

Could you send me your overlay? Right now I’m working it out and tryna preview the story on Episode Interactive.

And yes… except theres a warning and a script then the Intro then continue the episode. Thank you.

I’m trying to understand what your trying to do. It seems fine!

Whenever I review it, it doesnt work.It just shows the overlay and not the people. But when I press Update Script the scene restarts and it works properly but doesnt go to the next scene.

That’s alright! When I’m previewing it though, it’s working fine. There’s no issues. What browser are you using?
