Point System Without a Character

Hey guys.
I have one question.
In some storys that I read there is a Point Systems that doesn’t belong to one character and in my story I want to make system points for the investigation that will be going on in the story.
Like: Character (talk_neutral)
I think is it
Investigation +1

Can someone explain how to do that?
If someone could help I appreciate.
Thanks

The only way I know is to create a character named “Investigation” and simply not using them during the story. I hope this helps!

That makes sense.
Thank you so much. I will see if there is another away, but if doesn’t,
thank you

You have to have a character named Investigation then. Just make a random character and name them Investigation. You can do it that way. And it’s the only way as far as I know.

That’s what I’m currently doing with my story CHEER points and FOOTBALL points i just make a random character and I put readermessager under the points they got.

You could set the character Investigative offscreen and put @Investigative +1 or -1 Investigative let that character stay offscreen
But i don’t think the readers will be able to see the points just for to remain and keep track for yourself.

That’s just i something made up i never did it.
But i do set my characters offscreen

I’m thinking of doing the readerMessage to the readers see if they lose ou win points. but the character Investigation don’t have to be in the scene, I think… it’s that right?

They don’t have to be in a scene it won’t show up.
I have two characters for the point system and none of them show up under readermessager.
That’s the only way I know how to do it.
I wouldn’t narrative it.
