Yes! Cause it adds to the atmosphere and the scene, if you have a happy scene then the happy music is perfect, if you have a romantic scene then the romantic music works, if you have a sad scene then the sad music works! It just draws me into the story more and I really love the episode music alot

nope ! and that is because i am hearing impaired. i don’t mind a story with sound WHEN it uses cc. what i can’t stand is stories dependent on sound that don’t offer any cc, because then i have no idea wtf is going on. so please for the love of god if you’re using sound in your story please add cc. ffs please it’s ruined so many good stories for me

No because I prefer my own soundtrack or no soundtrack when reading. I feel bad for the author who spent time picking music and sounds for an overall good experience. But when it comes to reviewing stories or contest entries, I mostly try to have it on.
I prefer it when it has some sort of sound, it really sets the scene and engages the audience, yeah it may be a bit more work but I think it’s worth it.
Plus if their is a suspenseful scene and the reader is saying something like “alright nothing interesting is happening” then the suspenseful music comes on they would probably think something is coming and would continue to read and get engaged.
That’s what I think but either way I’m sure your story will be great.

I don’t listen to the episode sounds/music cause they’re so overused (which is understandable, since the amount of music we have are limited) and it gets really annoying after a while. Like, if I have to listen to music_menacingbeat one more time, I’m gonna lose my freaking mind 
But I understand why people prefer their stories to have sounds.

There’s actually quite a lot of sound available on Episode, I don’t know why people always use the same ones.
I personally don’t listen to the sound even when it’s there, so if people in the story are reacting to a sound I get confused.

I actually never listen to sound either lol, but I know some people like it so I was just wondering if I should include it…

I agree with @Lucy6. Adding music in the story really brings life to a scene. I can sometimes read a story without music, but only if it interests me. But otherwise, I mostly prefer music and audio. But do what you want with your story!
