I can help! it’s a little complicated so bear with me:

  1. send the background you’re using to your phone
  2. open some sort of editing app that has an eraser and upload the photo
  3. erase everything EXCEPT the water. I recommend erasing the top half of the water as well so it looks like they’re in the water
  4. download/save the water image
  5. look up “transparency changer” and find a website that lowers your image opacity so it’s see through. don’t lower it too much or it won’t look realistic
  6. save it and upload to episode

But the overlay came out in a different color from the water in the background

You just need to lower the opacity of the water overlay.

@overlay NAME opacity 1 is not see-through
-opacity 0 is invisible

So you want something in the middle. Try
@overlay NAME opacity 0.5

And then you can see if you like it. Or go higher or lower
