I’m hoping it’s just a problem on my end, but has anyone had problems previewing their work in the portal and it’s so slow it’s like skipping? None of the animations are smooth, and everything is moving at a snails pace.

I noticed it too! The words are lagging behind as I type.

Having the same issue today, so went ahead and submitted a ticket.
I guess it’s just your network connection. If it doesn’t work when you have full WiFi, you can submit a ticket as Syd proposed. I hope you get this error fixed.
By the way, I remember that when I used my laptop the Previewer was the sloweest thing on earth. It paused for 10 seconds, performed a 0.5 second command and paused again. Try previewing from PC (if you don’t already).
Mines isn’t lagging anymore, I realized that I was using Microsoft edge by mistake instead of chrome. It’s working fast again.
