So I need to use a flash back to show one of my characters past who unfortunately witnessed something terrible happen. This explains why he acts a certain way (he is not violent)

While it would be easy to have the character to say what he saw (in a non descriptive way.) I thought about adding a flash back in (the same way it would happen in real life.) of course I know about the guidelines and wouldn’t show what was happening but would it be against the guidelines to show the following.

The MC is a child he is downstairs when he hears noise coming from upstairs, he goes up upstairs halfway where he can see what is happening through the banister. The camera remains on the Characters face while some dialogue appears on the screen, followed by a loud a scream. The flashback fades out and returns to the main story as he snaps out of the flashback. Of course I would add a skip option and just put something to outline what he saw.

Would this be allowed?

i think it’s fine as long as it’s not too descriptive/ graphic or showing the punch/ slap animation on screen. and yes the skip option i believe is a must.
