Pregnant by a Killer šŸ¤°šŸ½ / My Psycho

I actually like My Psycho and just found pregnant by a killer boring. Sorry this is just my opinion

I have the literal opposite problem :joy:

I said I was gonna read it and compare but I barley got post the first scene

But honestly Iā€™ve been doing that to a lot of stories so it might just be me at this point :joy:

Uhh and on top of that the author keeps trying to do the angle that after all he did to her heā€™s still irresisble to her???

Like that is literally so annoying :thinking:šŸ¤¦šŸ¤¦

Both of these stories are absolutely disgusting. One is glorifying serial killers & abuse whereas the other story is glorifying psychopaths.

I find it very ironic how Bukkii told the reader to not glorify Ryder but told the reader to make him hot when customising him. It was very unpleasant of her to throw shade at blackcreamsoda for having the common sense to call Bukkii out for the mess she created.

So freaking done with humanity!

The titles alone freak me out.

Idk Maybe Iā€™m jaded (and older) but how is the subject matter/disturbing stuff that happens in this story any different from the stuff on TV? I meanā€¦have you guys seen Game of Thrones? Power? The Wire? Breaking Bad?

I personally enjoy the story quite a bit. The writerā€™s writing was a bit weak in the beginning but grew stronger. Around the 25th episode, it feels like Iā€™m watching an HBO series and she juggles story lines quite well.

Maybe Iā€™m just a bit older than many of you but itā€™s really not something extremely out of the box. Plenty of this type of stuff is on tv right now. It falls into more of the those raunchy crime mystery category.

I get your point as I am an older reader as well. But the TV is the TVā€¦ here we have some guidelines to follow. Of course, these stories do not quite break themā€¦ but they are too problematic for an app that is aimed at pre-teens more than anything else.

We can discuss how it is futile to try to make the Internet a safe place for young people (I bring this up because you mentioned TV, which kind of has itā€™s limitations; how many scenes have been censored in all sorts of shows, after all?), and I totally agree, it is futile, but that does not mean we must just sit around and do nothing in certain cases.

Episode is an app mostly for young people. It is not the TV, it is not Tumblr, it is not a porn siteā€¦ or at least it should not be one.

To be honest, I do not find My Psycho as disturbing as Living with the Vampire Brothers, for instance, and there is a chance that a few pre-teens are mature enough to understand that this is simply a story and should not be taken seriously, but many, many, many others may get the wrong ideas. And if you scroll through the fanmail, you may realise that that is already happening, and believe me, some of the comments are downright concerning.

Shows like breaking bad had consequences for their characters and in no way did it glamorize drug dealing. Please donā€™t compare works written by actual talented professional writers, to a story written by someone who doesnt even understand what a psychopath is.

I am an older reader as well a big difference is everything rated to be on tv and movies these themes if were movies would be given a MA 15+ or an R rating adults only (Iā€™m talking Australian rating system)
Problem with these stories is that their on at 13+ app not a 17+ app actually Iā€™ve read the other apps and none of them as bad as the trash episode allows
Iā€™m still so surprised how on earth legally can episode keep their rating at 13+ when there stories clearly arenā€™t PG rated at all.

Episode is purposely aimed at teens and pre-teens

Like they clearly want that kind of loyal, young, fanbase so they can suck them in and trap them into coming back even I they leave (cough ME cough)

And tbh a lot of teenagers are stupid. Not literally but just because of the stage of life theyā€™re at and how their brain is structured, sometimes they canā€™t separate real life from fantasy. Especially young (and pre) teens. It gives them unrealistic expectations about life and love and then they grow up to be entitled brats like me who drop out of paid for university because theyā€™re sad high school wasnā€™t like an episode story

I 100 percent agree with that whole point. As an adult I can differentiate between abusive rhetoric and bad boy romance, but Iā€™m pretty sure these kids canā€™t. I thinks a pretty great story but this is not the app for it, there needs to be a more mature alternative to episode because kids arent mature enough to know the difference

Professional writers donā€™t depict toxic relationships as desirable? I have a bridge to sell you named 50 shades of grey.

Its just frustrating as heck to even discuss because have you been reading the story? It doesnt glamorize anything literally anything about that lifestyle.

Its moreso a gritty reality thing. The abuse, healthy/unhealthy coping, losing people you love, etc. Is it appropriate for this app? Absolutely not

But to say the writer is glamorizing the lifestyle is completely baseless. Literally the main characters illusion of ā€œhot bad boyā€ was wiped out by like the 5th chapter.
