Preview skipping a scene change

has anyone ever had the problem where u preview ur story and it skips a scene change?

example:

INT. BACKGROUND NAME - DAY
INT. BACKGROUNDNAME2 - DAY
INT. BACKGROUNDNAME3 - DAY

but it goes from the first scene, skips the 2nd and goes straight to the 3rd
i dont think anyone can help w this bc i think its more of a personal issue (or bug), but ive already contacted episode, just trying to see if its happened to anyone.

also i probably should have logged out and in first lol

It could be a glitch, but I’ve found that they are actually pretty unlikely when it comes to code problems such as these. However, if your scene is exactly as shown, the middle background is most likely skipped because you can’t change backgrounds without something occurring in each scene. What I mean is:

INT. BACKGROUND NAME - DAY
#You need something to happen here such as a @.pause for a beat

INT. BACKGROUNDNAME2 - DAY
#You need something to happen here such as a @.pause for a beat

INT. BACKGROUNDNAME3 - DAY
#The rest of your script goes here

The other thing that I have found is that a person may set up the scene, but then not put in anything for it to stay there. For example:

#This is good:
INT. BACKGROUND NAME - DAY
@.pause for a beat

#This sets up the scene, but after it is set up, there is no pause or code to keep you on the scene.
INT. BACKGROUNDNAME2 - DAY
&overlay OVERLAYNAME create
&overlay OVERLAYNAME opacity 100%
&overlay OVERLAYNAME moves to layer 2
&overlay OVERLAY NAME shifts to 0 0 in zone 1

@.zoom reset
#You need something to happen here such as a @.pause for a beat

#This is good:
INT. BACKGROUNDNAME3 - DAY
#The rest of your script goes here

I hope this helps. Whatever the problem is, though, I wish you luck in finding it.

ok ill try that!
