I took a break from writing around September and I just came back, but nothing is working the way I remember! Idk if I just forgot or something changed? The problem is that neither the overlay nor my character will move where I want them to! Plus, the other character (JESSIE2) won’t even show up. Please help!

You need to create the overlay in the scene first.

You do @overlay create before it all or it’s &overlay create idk lol one of them

Try deleting the numbers in front of the overlay name? I’m not 100 percent sure.

Where exactly are the character and overlay supposed to appear? You have them in the INT. WARNING - BOTH screen. In the sister’s bedroom, the toypile will appear in the bottom left corner, and Caroline will just pop in somewhere.
Are the character and overlay supposed to be in INT, WARNING - BOTH?

I also tried to look in the app to see if it looked different there, but it said “Your story has an error and can’t be displayed. Please check your script on the server and try again”. But the script shows no error

Ah, then all of the spot and shift code will have to be somewhere after the words INT. TEEN SISTER’S BEDROOM - DAY .
When you use a background, everything in the previous scene resets, so all character and overlay placement will have to appear after.
