Problem with the position of the character

#1

The overlay was included in the scene but I want the character to be in front of the desk.

Here’s the script :
@ zoom on 160 284 to 79% in 0
@ cut to zone 1
@ FRANK changes into FRANK_default
@ FRANK spot 1.280 100 0 in zone 1 AND FRANK faces right
@ TANYA spot 1.280 290 40 in zone 1 at layer 3 AND TANYA faces left AND CHRIS spot 1.280 377 22 in zone 1 at layer 1 AND CHRIS faces left

Thanks!!

This should work:

INT. BACKGROUND - DAY with OVERLAY at layer 0
@ zoom on 160 284 to 79% in 0
@ cut to zone 1
@ FRANK changes into FRANK_default
@ TANYA moves to layer 1
@ FRANK spot 1.280 100 0 in zone 1 AND FRANK faces right
@ TANYA spot 1.280 290 40 in zone 1 at layer 3 AND TANYA faces left AND CHRIS spot 1.280 377 22 in zone 1 at layer 1 AND CHRIS faces left

:frowning:

#4

Oh, no, just replace “INT. BACKGROUND - DAY with OVERLAY at layer 0”, with your background and overlay :slightly_smiling_face:

Like, if your background was called INT. OFFICE - DAY, you would use that.

#5

Ohhh  I’ll try that!

#6

It doesn’t work and I don’t found the desk in the art catalog :frowning:

#8

what character do you want in the front ??

#9

Ah, well the overlay comes with the background, it seems. I’m not exactly sure how to move the layer of an overlay that comes with the background, but you could try the same script I showed earlier, with a similar background and overlay.
For example:

INT. CEO OFFICE OL - DAY with DESK LIBRARY at layer 0

The girl @ TANYA

#11

I like your idea but the problem is that I already use INT. SCHOOL OFFICE OL - DAY in a episode but I didn’t put all the characters in the same zone

#12

if there’s no way, I’ll just put the characters in the other zone but thanks for your help !!!

#13

If you want to layer an overlay that is already part of the background, then you need to use the background name as the overlay name and layer that.

#14

Okay! I’ll try that!!

#15

#16

It’s INT. SCHOOL OFFICE OL - DAY with INT. SCHOOL OFFICE OL - DAY

#17

It’s working!!! Thank you so much!!!
