Promote your story with MC in their twinties and/or your mature story!

If you’re like WTF :no_mouth: about the 7564 times I’ve already edited this post: I simply keep updating the recommendations-list it every time people post a story at this topic. .
It’s my organized reading-list!

I will also keep updating the “read and liked”-list, for those who are interested/posted their story and would like to get feedback.

  • Types: MATURE (WITHOUT (A LOT OF) CLICHES PLEASE!): mystery, thriller/horror; or drama (serious drama, not bad-boy drama!)

At the same time this is a promote-topic because I think these stories deserve a lot more attention.

The blurred part are spoilers (although no major spoilers), so you’ve been warned!

Stories like this I’ve read so far and liked:

  • The Roses Killer - Very interesting and intense. The MC has a rude behavior that you might hate, but she will change!
  • Wired Out - I strongly recommend this one! This story has anything but a predictable end! Also the backgrounds are very beautiful.
  • The Disappearance of Olivia Thatcher - Seemed more like a game, but that made it even more interesting!
  • Maternal Instincts - I couldn’t stop reading because In felt so “involved” in the story!
  • Shroud - I understand completely why this one won a contest. The backgrounds are also beautiful I think. I only thought the ending confusing and I think I’m going to read it all again.
  • Blue River - I thought the psycho’s reasons to murder people too absurd, but the story itself I found very interesting!
  • The Imitation Teacher - Short and simple (not in a bad way!), but good!
  • Traces of the Past, For My Parents & Death The Girl - all good, but they have the one thing I hate: bad boy-drama and therefore I doubt if I will continue reading these 3…
  • Saving Amelia - teen with an adult attitude + ghost, I love ghosts in episode
  • Revenge On The Bullies - Intense…
  • The Missing Piece - MC in her twinties, I even think 28 + thriller = great
  • The One Year Escape: Kidnapped - teens, but really great
  • Killer Instincts - very interesting, but unfortunately doesn’t seem to continue
  • I’m Just a Girl I & II - THAT’S what I call a drama story
  • Melrose I & II - Really great. Similar to I’m Just a Girl, about abuse (II Is still going.)
  • Who’s There - short, but good
  • Slumber Party - teens, but great
  • Dollhouse - Very good, but doesn’t seem to continue either.
  • Porcelain - So great! Same kind of story as Dollhouse.
  • It’s Just Four Letters - Despite the love triangle, still great.
  • Route To Murder 1 & 2 - Thrillers, very good
  • All Hallows; The Curfew - Nice horror
  • Haunted: The Awakening - Horror and really cool MC in my opinion! There should be more MC’s like her!
  • Haunted: Her Protector - Another thriller that has a nice MC and takes a hell of a plottwist!

Have you read The Game?
As mentioned above, Thumbelina and Shroud are both really good.
Also, Haunted: Her Protector (might just be Her Protector now).

Lol if you take self-promo I have one that might fit the brief too (MC is 37 but you also play as her 18-year-old daughter too so that averages out to around 27 )

Thanks! Haunted: Her Protector I’ve read too… I think I forgot to mention that one! :woman_facepalming:

The Game = The Game of Death?
Just to make sure.

What’s that story of yours btw? I don’t think it’s forbidden to promote your own story.

Nope.
The Game by Amber J. It was Thriller: The Game but I believe she’s dropped the “Thriller”.

What’s that story of yours btw? I don’t think it’s forbidden to promote your own story, is it?

(I think you’ve missed my edit. )

It’s not forbidden but some people don’t like self-promo

Mine is Maternal Instincts (and Ghostwriter technically fits too, but I’d recommend Maternal Instincts first lol).

Which edit? :see_no_evil: I’m pretty out of it today.

Also, since you have two Maddie V stories on your list, she has Who’s There and Thriller: Blue River that you might like?
Oh also The Disappearance of Olivia Thatcher by Ana Stacy.
Thriller: Wired Out

YAY! Okay okay okay. So:

Title: Maternal Instincts
Author: My fav author: @EliseC
Genre: Thriller
Description: There’s no one Leah loves more than her daughter, Vee. When Vee gets kidnapped by an obsessive ex, Leah will stop at nothing to get her back. *Choices matter, multiple endings, CC
Extra info: There are two versions of this: Cinematic and spotlight, both in Limelight.

Title: The Disappearance of Olivia Thatcher
Author: Ana Stacy
Genre: Thriller
Description: You’re determined to solve your first case as a detective, while evil spirits are haunting your dreams. Don’t lose focus. Don’t fall for the suspect. And don’t get murdered! 4 endings.
Extra Info: Art style is Limelight.

Title: Welcome to the Amazon Forest
Author: XxAlphaBetaxX
Genre: Fantasy, but I’d consider it a fantastical mystery. A mystery with fantasy creatures.
Description: Khalil’s life revolved around nothing but botany. That is until a search for a mystical flower transports him to a forest full of Amazons in the middle of a crisis. 10+ endings
Extra Info: This story is in Limelight. Sorry, not sure if “Khalil” is in his twenties, but he has a full-time job, so presumably he doesn’t go to school/college.

I’m sorry, I didn’t want to push you or something… Thank you!

You’re great! Thanks for making this post! :+1:
I’ve read that they are all in LL. I prefer INK, but if they are good it doesn’t that matter anymore and I will give them a try!

What does R4R mean? :flushed:

Ohhh it’s read for read. Like we agree to read a certain amount of chapters from each others stories and when done we sent screenshots as a proof.

Ok, thanks. (I’m new at the forums, so.)

Yeah no problem! But I really recommend this story:

It’s a really interesting story about an officer trying to solve a murder case.
