Hehe, I haven’t written a poem in a while, and I wrote this one for @/SaraSantini’s contest, but J wanted some opinions.

The World
By Rileyann Storm(AKA me)

Mother, I said to the woman I once knew,
Father, I said to the man I trusted,
Brother, I said to the only friend I had,
Sister, I said to the strongest person I knew,
Myself, I said in hushed tone, knowing that I’d never the light of day,
The world, I said, as I slowly, very slowly, faded away.

What’re your thoughts?
