I’ve seen many stories using overlays for blush but it seems so hard to use, especially if your character’s face is moving while blushing.
Would making characters blush be easier if it were a prop? The advantage of a blush prop would be that you can add it by itself into the middle of a story (unlike a clothing item) and blush would follow a character’s face realistically. Blushing also seems like such a common thing that if episode did make a prop for it, it would be a very popular item!
The disadvantage is that it wouldn’t be able to fade in and out realistically like an overlay can.
What do you guys think? Would a prop blush be easier to use or is using overlays good enough?
Yes! Using overlays is usually okay for me, but having a prop would make it so much easier and immediately accessible for everyone. The fade in and out does give it a better effect though
Yees, support. We could still use overlays for fading in but a lot of times I’d like my characters to keep their blush while talking. Idk if it would work as a prop though since most of the time there are only certain animations that go with them.
Lots of the other props are in a character’s but since this is on the face, would it require its own animation? Idk the specifics about how episode’s animations are created.
