Question about word censorship

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I’m currently writing a mystery story for Episode, and there’s a manslaughter case that is brought up a lot. So, there’s this scene in my story where my characters are saying manslaughter A LOT. I’m just not sure if I should censor the word “manslaughter.” It’s kind of a triggering subject, but people might think it’s weird for it to be censored.

What do you guys think?

Also, how should I censor it? It starts with an “m” and ends with an “er” and has the same amount of characters as an actual, real swear word (You know, “mothertrucker”), so how should I censor it in my story for it to be clearly communicated that I’m saying “manslaughter”?

Thanks! (Sorry if this was triggering.)

I would censor it and I would probably just write it like that “mansl*ughter” or something similar.

Yeah, if I say this, I could say that word less often. Thanks!

Thanks! I don’t why I get so anxious trying to choose what letters to remove, but that’s helpful. I’ll probably go with that.
