saying thank u when someone compliments u for smth u didn’t do, is claiming their work as ur own. that is wrong, they could’ve spent hrs on that. when they say u don’t need to credit, i recommend u do, bc that’s what a decent person does. n if u don’t for whatever reason, at least b decent enough to admit u didn’t create it ! 
not attacking u at all, we’ve all done or considered doing this before…
