Quick math question!

I just need a quick answer on this! I haven’t done math in a long time :sob:

Math Problem

One hundred restaurant patrons out of 600 were surveyed by the restaurant manager. The results are recorded in each problem below. Predict the number of people in the population that would answer similarly.

Twelve said they would not eat at this restaurant again.
Show the setup of the problem.

Maybe try:

x+12=600

Then subtract 12 from both side so that it’s x=588

I think that’s the answer, although probably not bc my minds still stuck in Algebra from helping someone else

Is that the whole question? It says “the results are recorded in each problem below”, and you can’t really work it out just from that bit.

Well 100/600 people were asked. 12 of those 100 said no.
So, of the rest that might answer similarly, it’s 12 per hundred.
12 x 6 = 72
72 people may possibly say no.
Minus the original 12, to get 60.

So I believe the answer is 60.
Also, I don’t think this is an algebra question.
