I only have 29 reads, people have told me it’s really interesting so far, I think it just needs a bit more exposure!!

You were doing good until…

Since it’s your first story it should be amazing, this leaves an impression.
Being a first time author shouldn’t be an excuse of why you have “many mistakes”

It’s true though one of the responses I got was if I noticed a few mistakes and I actually worked on them with the person. I know there are mistakes and I’m willing to work on them to make my story better and the readers experience better

Yeah but at least I’m honest, plus I’ve been fixing them and so far things are great!!
I’ve read many and they had a lot of mistakes that I’ve realized us as writers don’t realize but readers do

I think your willingness to correct any errors and being aware of your mistakes is a great trait to have as a writer! Although it’s your first story, it’s always best to have a good first impression. Don’t make others deter from it by stating it probably has a lot of mistakes. Having others proofread is a better alternative. I’ll read it and let you know what I think though! Practice makes perfect. :smile:
