Reader Messages / Text Effects Guide Updates

Bump :rainbow:

OMG, the Episode letter color effect was so cool…do you mind if I use it in my story? If you don’t that’s completely fine, I was just wondering. BTW you help me so much with Episode script writing. Bump

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! Btw i was wondering, can we use the text effects (colour and font only) on text overlays that can be created on the portal itself?

Hi! Yes, text effects also work on text overlays!

Can you tell me how? As I tried with the bold, italic effect but it gave me an error :sob:

Yes, you can use text effects on word overlays:

Try a color and see how it goes. Some text effects might not work, according to this thread.

Hey do you know if there’s a way to make one ReaderMessage with multiple lines? Like I want the message to say

“- headache
- weakness
- nausea”

Those are supposed to be minuses …
Like that, so I don’t have to write that in 3 ReaderMesssages becuase I already bored people with ReaderMessages that say “INVENTORY - 2” and “FREE INVENTORY = 4”

Thanks for this!!!

Can you use text effects with reader messages?

Hey! Yes you can by using the new line function. Here’s an example:

readerMessage –Headache [nl] –Weakness [nl] –Nausea

Yes!

How does it work? Is it like dialogue? Or no?

It does work like dialogue! e.g

readerMessage | bold , color:purple | Good job! with messageTitle Brain +1

Ahhh, okay! Thank you!

Oh so [nl] is kind of like /n or “<br”> in HTML? (the actual br command actually worked here so I had to put " " in the middle) But if that’s the case it’s kinda cool.
