I was reading a story and this came up. What does support the author does? Is it similar to following the person on Instagram? Or something else?

Maybe it’s a token of gratitude of some sort? A gem choice so readers can support the author or whatever
I’m actually not sure how the paid program works at all so I’ll shut up lol

What’s happening is that you are part of (I believe it’s 60% but could be higher) that cannot see gem choices.

So if you click on it
 you don’t loose any gems but the author gets a gem-click point++

Lol, so I also have the glitch where I don’t actually see community author gem choices, but WOW what a dick move. Am I the only one who thinks this? At least give a bonus scene

I don’t think it would have matter much anyway? This doesn’t mean you would actually give gems to that author and it doesn’t really count toward the gem read for that chapter since Episode said the gem choices have to actually affect to storyline (an important choice).

This has been a discussion a while back when they made it possible for community authors to add gem choice to their stories so correct me if I’m wrong.

Eh, probably not. My only incentive to go for a gem option in a community story is if it makes a significant impact on the storyline, or if I get extra points for doing so.

It just seems kinda like a dick move, like @amberose said, to be like “Money please!” even if you’re provided with a choice to not do so.

Idk what the rules are regarding this, but it kinda seems like you’re gaming the system by doing this.
